Getting FedEx Test Credentials for Magento
Magento requires you to setup a test credentials of FedEx from their official website
First of all below is the process for generating the test keys.
To initiate the integration activity for AWB generation, Tracking etc. Please find below the process for generating the test credentials .
When in the test environment, you will send your query to https://wsbeta.fedex.com:443/web-services/, where beta is the test environment for FedEx. Information needs to be sent on port 443.
Process for generating test keys for Web Services
Goto : http://www.fedex.com/us/developer/
Login with your username and Password. If you do not have one you can create one by clicking on register now . Choose Web Service for Shipping and click on login
From the options shown, choose Develop and test
Thereafter, click on Get test keys to get to the page
Enter the required information and choose US and Global from the country selection dropdown under “request test key” tab and click on Continue.
As a result on submitting the form a test account number, meter number, Authentication Key will be shown to you. You will receive the password separately via email. You can use these test keys while developing your website content. Please choose US and Global in the country.
On success page you will get most of the details which you need to enter at the admin end under Shipping Method > FedEx. There will be multiple credentials for different purposes as follows
- First option, FedEx Web Services Testing Information
- Secondly, FedEx SmartPost® Returns Testing Information
- FedEx Web Services Freight LTL Testing Information (used in the Freight Shipment Detail)
Presuming you are going to setup it for domestic shipments only, use only the credentials given under first option.
Finally get the password from the mail and the key from FedEx page only. Save the details somewhere safe before closing it.
